Knife Rights News Slice Vol. 2 Number 3

You’ve Got to be Kidding?

That was the most common response to Knife Rights, by far, from the crowds at the NRA Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, last week. We assured them we were not kidding in the least, though we wished we were. The response may well have been fueled in part because Arizona has relatively few restrictive knife laws. Arizona’s citizens can pretty much own and carry whatever kniv es they want and don’t give it much thought. (There are some exceptions, of course)

In any case, we got a pretty good response and signed up some new members. A special thanks to Pete Conway, Denise Brandenburg and Knife Rights board member Alan Romainia who helped staff the booth at NRA.

We thought we’d pass along some related good news. Knife Rights Board Member Alan Romania gave longtime girlfriend Denise a nice folder during the show in Friday and took it over to the Benchmade booth and had it laser engraved with her name. Pretty romantic by our standards, but, that was only the half of it. Late that night, after we’d all gone home from a nice dinner, he gave her an even more special gift, a diamond ring! About time, Alan! Next day at the show Denise had the reverse side of the Mini RSK Mk1 engraved as a memento of that special day. No question, she’s very special. We wish Alan and Denise the very best for their future together.
