The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) will hear oral arguments in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen on Wednesday, November 3rd at 10:00 AM Eastern. This case involves New York City’s “may issue” permitting system, a de facto ban on carrying a firearm outside the home for self-defense.
Knife Rights Foundation is party to an Amicus Curie (Friend of the Court) brief supporting the plaintiff, NYSRPA, in this case.
While the case obviously involves firearms, the implications of the Court’s decision will reverberate throughout the Second Amendment community, including for those who carry knives in public for self-defense. This is why Knife Rights Foundation is an amici in this case.
